What will be covered:
- basic game mechanics and scoring
- hand evaluation (points and shape)
- opening bids in suits and notrump
- responding to partner’s opening bid
  (including Stayman and Jacoby Transfers after 1 NT)
- opener’s and responder’s re-bid
- competing with the opponents
- preemptive bidding
- introduction to playing the hand
- standard opening leads - and a bit of defence
